Elle C. Ristow, ERA Administrator/Project Manager
Elle joined Rice University in August 2013 as an ERA Administrator/Project Manager. Before she and her husband moved to Houston, she worked on the Electronic Health Record implementation Project for the City of Philadelphia under Health Commissioner’s administration. She also served as a Department Administrator at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She brings her expertise in both Finance and IT to Rice University, who can bridge business community and technical community. Elle graduated from University of Virginia with BA in Mathematics. She currently lives in the Heights with her husband and their beloved dog named Steve.
Hope C. Grant-Hodge, Training Specialist
Hope joined Rice University in February 2013 as a Training Specialist. Prior to becoming part of the ERA Team, Hope has held administrative positions in pre & post award in central and departmental sponsored program offices at various institutions within the University System of Georgia as well as Mercer University. As a Certified Research Administrator, Hope has been responsible for the development and management of sponsored program databases and various implementations of electronic research administration systems including ITWorks, Cayuse and InfoEd as well as SunGard Financial. This broad background has been demonstrated through the training of sponsored program colleagues, departmental staff and principal investigators about the sponsored project life cycle process as well as institutional policies, sponsor guidelines and federal regulations.
